Curious about what makes people click.
I'm Akhila Lalu — a digital marketing enthusiast exploring the intersection of performance marketing, SEO, content and data.
I don't see marketing as simply creating content or running advertisements. I see it as understanding people, their behaviour and the reasons behind their decisions.
A slightly unusual route into marketing.
My journey didn't begin with digital marketing. It started with commerce, moved through content creation and software testing, and eventually brought me to performance marketing and SEO.
I graduated with a BCom, which gave me an early understanding of business, numbers and how organisations operate.
I then spent a year working as a content creator at Dharmabot. That experience introduced me to the creative side of digital communication — understanding audiences, creating content and thinking about how ideas are presented online.
My experience as a freelance software tester added another layer to the way I think. Testing taught me to observe details, question assumptions, identify problems and look at experiences from a user's perspective.
Today, I'm building on these experiences while studying digital marketing at BluCampus by Bluesteak, Kottayam, with a particular interest in Performance Marketing and SEO.
Every experience added another perspective.

Good marketing starts before the campaign, keyword or creative. It starts with questions.
Who?
Who are we trying to reach?
Why?
Why would they care?
Where?
Where are they looking for solutions?
What?
What message will actually help them?
How?
How can we measure and improve it?
